Virginia Arregui

Virginia Arregui creates richly detailed tile art that merges bold imagery with layered storytelling. Her work is defined by vibrant colour, intricate surfaces and a deep sense of mood and symbolism. Through a distinctive visual language, she explores themes drawn from travel, memory and the passage of time.

“I feel my work is a modern-day version of this old-world ceramic art” Virginia says – reimagining a timeless tradition with a contemporary eye.

A deep fascination with architecture from around the world often finds its way into her work. She frequently uses architectural forms not just as subject matter, but as symbolic stand-ins for people – silent structures that hold emotion, memory and presence. These visual metaphors add emotional weight and narrative depth, allowing each piece to speak beyond the surface

This exhibition features hand-painted ceramic tiles meet colour, architecture, and everyday storytelling. Alongside tile paintings, a scattering of plates, bowls and vases bring the collection to life.
