While thinking for a name for this exhibition I had all my paintings around me ready to be packed & I was actually surprised at the amount of colour & movement on the canvasses. It was like stepping into a floral world & immersing yourself in all the different petals of roses, waterlilies, cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, peony & coral peony roses.
I am very passionate & very particular about the type of florals I paint. It was always a dream of mine to go to Japan & paint the cherry blossoms. To go to the UK for the Chelsea flower show & to explore the flower gardens.
Heading to New Zealand to capture the hydrangeas was a real thrill… they are massive. I have thoroughly immersed myself in these florals & wanted you to experience the
same feeling.
To be surrounded by the subtle & vivid colours & the movement of the petals & also the dramatic effect of each painting. I hope you enjoy the experience..
