The Southern Highlands is such a spectacular place. Every time I’m down here I marvel at the scenery and visually soak in how spectacular the estates and fields are around the area. The interesting arrangements of the vegetation, the mists in the valleys, the lushness and tree filled hillsides. When I leave this area I’ll often head down to the coast through Kangaroo valley and Fitzroy Falls all the way down past Ulladulla. The whole landscape along this journey is just rife with places to escape. That’s the origin of the idea for this show, to focus on the spectacular scenery and amazing estates around the southern highlands and the stunning escapes between the highlands and the coast.
